Christopher Day is from Toronto, Canada. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work degrees from York University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. In Toronto he worked as a therapist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, a World Health Organization recognized facility.

Christopher moved to Pittsburgh in 2000 to complete an Internship at the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force under the supervision of the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a clinician at UPMC's Center for Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency Services and supervised the clinic's Partial Hospitalization Program.

He joined Mt. Washington Psychiatric Services as a full time clinician in January 2009. Christopher's credentials include Licensed Clinical Social Worker, member of the National Association of Social Workers, Attention Deficit Disorders Association and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Christopher is a Certified Addictions Counselor and member of the National Association of Addiction Counselors, is a Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor and member of the National Council on Problem Gambling.

He also has a Myers-Briggs Type Inventory Certificate, and is a member of the Association for Psychological Type International. He is also pursuing at this time certification as an EAP provider and is a member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Christopher uses an eclectic therapeutic approach to meet the needs of his clients in accordance with their presenting problems.
